  • With Stock

When you donate appreciated stock you can help our homeless neighbors rebuild their lives while at the same time reaping tax benefits. The easiest way to make a stock gift is to contact your broker and ask him/her to transfer the desired number of shares into the account of Community Council for the Homeless at Friendship Place. Your broker will need the following information:

Fidelity Investments
Phone: (800) 544-866
Account Number: Z72-512273 (account holder is CCHFP)
DTC Number: 0226

Ask your broker to give you in writing the value of the stock at the time of the transfer. In accordance with IRS regulations, our “thank you” letter to you will acknowledge the number of shares and the date you transferred them.

After you have placed the request with your broker, please alert us, so that we can confirm receipt of the gift.  202-503-2965, Chief Financial Officer.

  • Donate your used car, van, truck, boat with trailer, or RV

Through a partnership with Melwood National Car Donation Center, you can donate vehicles to Friendship Place. We are excited to work with Melwood, which has a mission of empowering people with disabilities and has provided job training and employment for over 2,000 individuals since 1963.
