Martina Turner grew up in Washington, DC and earned her BA in Sociology and Criminal Justice at Delaware State University. After graduation, she returned to DC, serving as a parole officer and a juvenile counselor in an independent living program.

Martina is committed to helping DC residents utilize the resources that are available to foster independence. She joined the Friendship Place team in February 2010 as Outreach Coordinator, and now works as a Homeless Services Case Manager. Martina is excited about bringing new people into Friendship Place.

In her free time, Martina loves watching TV, especially old sitcoms, and spending time with my family and friends.
